BSU-SLS Frequently Asked Questions
Admission for Incoming Grade 7
The application period is April 6 to 10, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Applications will be accepted at the BSU–Secondary Laboratory School Gymnasium.
Applicants must submit the following:
- Original and photocopy of Report Card (Form 138/SF9)
- Completed Application Form
- Two (2) pieces of 1.5 × 1.5 recent ID pictures (white background with name tag)
- Receipt of ₱200.00 testing fee (non-refundable)
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
For Agricultural Science:
- GWA of 85% or higher
- At least 85% in Science, Math, and English
- No grade lower than 80% in other subjects
- No failing grades in any grading period
For Vocational Agriculture (VO-AG) and Home Economics (HE):
- GWA of 80% or higher
- No failing grades in any subject in any grading period
For DepEd and other schools where grades are already complete during the application period:
- Applicants must submit complete grades up to the fourth grading period, including the computed General Weighted Average (GWA).
For private schools where graduation occurs after the application period:
- Applicants may submit grades up to the third grading period.
The application form will only be issued after evaluation of grades and if the applicant meets the required qualifications.
The ₱200.00 testing fee must be paid at the BSU Cashiering Office (Ground Floor, Administration Building) after grade evaluation.
No. The testing fee is non-refundable.
Yes. Applicants must take and pass the entrance examination as part of the admission process.
The exam typically covers Mathematics, Science, and English.
Yes. Qualified applicants may undergo additional screening or interview.
Admission Policies
Only 60 qualified students will be admitted for Grade 7, following CHED CMO No. 32, s. 2015, which limits enrollment in SUC laboratory schools. Since these students continue through to Grade 12, no slots are available for Grade 11 admissions.
No. Transferees for these grade levels are not accepted, as stated in the BSU–SLS Handbook (Article 3, Section 6).
Other Information
Complete documents must be submitted only during the application period at the BSU–SLS Gymnasium from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. For applications for School Year 2026–2027, the application period is from April 6 to 10, 2026.
Yes, as long as they meet all admission requirements and are willing to comply with school policies.
